Largo Medical Center has confirmed the death of a woman who was struck by a car at the Largo medical centre.
The death was reported to the Queensland Ambulance Service.
Emergency services arrived on the scene around 10:00am (AEST).
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the deceased,” Largo said in a statement.
The Largo Regional Health Unit is assisting the family.
The woman was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Brisbane for treatment, and died later.
The Queensland Ambullary Service is assisting with the investigation.
The cause of the collision is not yet known.
Queensland Ambual said in its statement that it is treating the incident as a serious incident.
“Largo Regional Hospital is currently undertaking a full investigation into this incident and will provide further updates as and when they are available,” it said.
