An Oregon judge has ordered the release of a new video that shows the moments before the child’s death at Pikeland Medical Center.
In the video, a man in a wheelchair is seen trying to get to the child in the intensive care unit.
The wheelchair can be seen in the background.
“Please come to the room, please, please,” a woman in the video says.
“He is not breathing.
Please call 911.”
The video, released by the State Medical Examiner’s Office, shows the woman lying in a chair next to a man lying on a bed, one leg crossed over the other.
The man in the wheelchair was rushed to the hospital but died before arrival, and the woman was taken to the same hospital.
She is the only one in the emergency room who appears to be breathing, the state medical examiner said.
The woman in charge of the child told investigators that she was “unaware of any medical problems” during the child being brought in.
The medical examiner’s office said it did not determine the cause of the infant’s death.
Pikeland Medical Care, where the child was brought in, has not responded to requests for comment.
