New York Jets QB Jake Locker says he will play in Sunday’s NFC Championship game, says he didn’t know if the NFL would award him an MVP award

Jake Lockser has said he will not play in the Super Bowl if the New York Giants won’t award him the NFL MVP award.

“I know that I won’t be playing in the game, I’ll play in my hotel room,” Locker told reporters after Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers.

“But I don’t know what that means.

It’s not for me to say.”

Locker was not the only quarterback to play in his team’s final two games, which are being called Super Bowl XLIX and XLIXII.

Matt Flynn and Joe Flacco both played in their team’s finale, while Matt Schaub played in the finale of the final game.

Flacco was injured early in the third quarter of the 49ers’ loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Schaub did not play, while Flacco did not participate in Sunday night’s finale.

The NFL will announce the winner of the Superbowl on January 2.
